Al Dinneen was born in a small farm town in New England, and was dragged by his parents kicking and screaming to California. It was there that he hung up his overalls for a career in acting. He did his first play at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa. It was about that time that he was bitten by the acting bug. He went on to do other plays in Orange County and Los Angeles. He decided to pursue professional training. He was accepted to the exclusive Graduate Program at American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. After completing his studies, he moved to Los Angeles.
Al’s under graduate degree is in Advertising. He has worked on advertising and marketing for Columbia, TriStar, and Sony Pictures films. He has also dabbled in filmmaking. He was an Associate Producer on “Manna From Heaven” for MGM with three Academy award-winning actors. He wore the Art Director’s hat on that film as well.
Al’s last project was working on the ABC show “What Would You Do?” He played a photographer that promised to make young girls stars if they came back to his place… creepy!
Al fell in love with Austin Texas and moved there in 2004. He worked in numerous commercials and films there. Currently, he splits his time between Los Angeles and Austin. He has a passion for building and renovating homes. He is now working on a property in Santa Barbara.
